Delete your Dumbi account

Dumbi is made by the independent developer of Dumbi, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

You can delete your Dumbi account and the data linked to it at any time, in the app or by asking us here.

Fastest: in the app

Open Dumbi and go to Profile → Settings.
Tap Delete Account and confirm.
If asked, confirm it's you (your password, or Sign in with Apple / Google again).

Your account is deleted straight away, and the rest of your data is removed automatically, usually within minutes.

Without the app: ask us by email

Email support@dumbiapp.com from the email address on your Dumbi account with the subject "Delete my Dumbi account", and include your username. If you signed in with Apple and chose "Hide My Email", send it from your Apple ID email and mention that. We'll confirm the request comes from the account owner, delete the account within 7 days, and email you when it's done.

What gets deleted

Your profile: username, bio, pronouns, profile photo, city and country, and date of birth;
Your reviews, and the likes and comments on them;
Your comments and likes on other people's reviews;
Your Hidden Gems, the people you follow, other people's follows of you, and your blocked list;
Photos you uploaded, and photo suggestions still waiting for review;
Your points, achievements and notification settings, and this phone's notification tokens;
Your sign-in account (email, Apple or Google sign-in).

What we keep

Restaurants you added stay on the map for the community, and photos already approved for a restaurant stay as its photo. They are no longer linked to your profile.
Restaurant ratings are averages; once your reviews are deleted they no longer count, and nothing left can identify you.
Moderation reports you sent, or that are about you, are kept for as long as reasonably needed to handle them and any related claims.
Copies in routine backups are overwritten automatically within about 30 days.

If you also joined our website waitlist, use the unsubscribe link in any of our emails, or ask us to delete your waitlist email at support@dumbiapp.com.
